Titans In Las Vegas

Titans in Las Vegas
VIVA LAS VEGAS!
Although almost 80% of CSUF grads live in Southern California, some alumni venture to other parts of the country to make their home. Las Vegas, Nevada has become a hub for over 2,000 Cal State Fullerton alumni and as a part of the 50th Anniversary celebration, the Alumni Association was on the road to bring them together.

On Monday, December 3, almost 50 Las Vegas-area alumni assembled at Gordon Biersch brewery off the strip to network and enjoy a special hosted reception. Graduates from all five decades of the university represented the diverse history of CSUF and shared memories of their time spent on campus. Paul Carey, Associate Vice President of University Advancement, shared exciting updates about the 50th Anniversary celebration and the growth of the campus. Enrollment has reached over 37,000 and the university boasts the largest student body in the state of California. Now with over 185,000 graduates, you can run into a Titan almost anywhere.

The event also generated interest in forming a Las Vegas Area Alumni chapter. Alumni were enthused to hear about the 13 officially chartered chapters in the program and learn about the type of events and programming each chapter plans annually. These Las Vegas alumni join CSUF's San Diego Area Alumni who are also preparing to launch a regional alumni chapter effort.

The Cal State Fullerton Alumni Association will continue its 50th Anniversary road trip during the spring months which will include stops in Washington D.C. on Dec. 4-6 and Sacramento on April 28, 2008. Dates for other cities will be announced soon. Visit the CSUF Alumni Association website for more information.
