John G. Cruz

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger recently appointed John G. Cruz as his appointments secretary. Prior to this appointment, he served as a commissioner on the California Gambling Control Commission. After graduating from CSUF, he earned his juris doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School. He founded his own law firm in 1992, and has worked in several public service positions, such as a member of the Federal Service Impasses Panel, an officer and trustee for the Orange County Hispanic Bar Association and a member of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Technical Reserve Program.
