John C. Hernandez, vice president of student services at Santiago Canyon College, is responsible for the planning, coordination, delivery, funding and evaluation of student services and programs. He plays a key role in the development of college policy and participates in institutional planning, management and advancement. He has been in the field of student affairs for more than two decades, working at Santiago Canyon College, Cal Poly Pomona, Santa Ana College and Cal State Fullerton. He earned a master’s degree in counseling from Cal State Long Beach in 1992 and a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland in 1999.
