Rocio Valencia

The youngest of three, Rocio Valencia credits her parents and two older sisters for her success in life. A clinical social worker at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach, she provides counseling to low-income and uninsured adults, children and families dealing with various mental health issues. Her role also encompasses identifying mental health needs in the community and developing appropriate services in collaboration with community partners. She serves on community boards, including the leadership council for United Way’s Somos Familia Initiative. She earned her master’s degree in social work from USC.

La menor de tres hermanas, Rocio Valencia otorga sus éxitos en la vida a sus padres y dos hermanas. Una trabajadora social en Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian en Newport Beach, ella brinda asesoría a adultos, niños y familias de bajos recursos con problemas de salud mental. Su trabajo también incluye el identificar que servicios de salud mental se necesitan en la comunidad y desarrollar los programas apropiados en colaboración con socios comunitarios. También trabaja con varias juntas directivas, incluyendo “United Way’s Somos Familia Initiative.” Rocio cuenta con una Maestría en Trabajo Social de USC.
