Vikki Vargas

Currently NBC-4’s Orange County bureau chief, Vikki Vargas joined the network in 1982 as a general assignment reporter. In a career stretching over nearly three decades, she has covered national and international stories, including the opening of the Richard Nixon Library and the 2000 Republican National Convention. Her work has earned many honors, including the Golden Mike Award in 2002 and an Emmy nomination. She is a recipient of the Cal State Fullerton’s Vision & Visionaries Award, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Orangewood Children’s Foundation and on the advisory board of the university’s Guardian Scholars program.
