Sharone Carmona Williams

A recipient of the prestigious Claremont National Scholarship for groundbreaking research across multiple academic disciplines, Sharone Carmona Williams is currently working toward a doctoral degree at Claremont Graduate University. As an undergraduate at Cal State Fullerton, she was recognized as a President’s Scholar and a National Hispanic Recognition Scholar, and received the 2007 award for Outstanding Undergraduate Achievement in the English Department. Her publications include “Jazz as Text: Freedom Born from Bondage” and an upcoming study of the application of Louis Althusser’s model of ideological interpellation to a key canonical text.
