Governor Ronald Reagan's 1970 speech during student convocation sparked student protests, including a sit-in and occupation of the president's office. Shortly thereafter, students led a march from CSCF to Fullerton College. Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) members and supporters wore black armbands as a protest against the war.
