To apply for the CLFSA Scholarship, complete the university scholarship and award form ( you need Adobe Acrobat Reader ) and submit to the following address, postmarked on or before July

Who is eligible?
Applicant must be a current CSUF full-time undergraduate or a current CSUF full-time graduate student, demonstrated a commitment and made significant contributions to the Latino community, be an enrolled student during the 2012-13 academic year, and show active involvement in community and/or campus organizations. Undergraduates must have a cumulative grade point average of a minimum of 2.5; 3.2 for graduate students. Past recipients are ineligible. The application can be obtained online by clicking here . A completed application includes a one-page essay addressing specific questions, financial aid award (if applicable), Titan Degree Audit (TDA) and a copy of your CSUF transcript.

Download the university & award scholarship application form (two pages). Make sure you complete the Signature section and do not miss the Written Statement on the reverse side.
Other Documents:
Download your transcript and TDA (access via Titan Online), and if applicable, include your financial aid award. Attach a type-written essay.
Deadline:
July 31, 2012 is the deadline for all documents.
Essay :
In addition to the university scholarship & award application, applicants must write a one-page essay addressing the following questions. 1) Describe how you have made significant contributions to the Latino community through your involvement with on-campus and off-campus clubs/organizations (e.g. research, community service, leadership positions) and, 2) How has your involvement with on/off-campus organizations contributed to your personal development & cultural awareness?
Applications must be neat and professional. Grammar and spelling should be checked for accuracy. Final reminder that past recipients are not eligible to apply. You must be a full-time, currently-enrolled CSUF student to apply and to receive this scholarship. |
