Michael Burdett (senior) has been admitted for Fall to masters programs at both Princeton University and the University of Oxford
Michael's testimonial ---
"The Civil Engineering Department at CSU Fullerton has provided me with the skills necessary to pursue my goals of continued education at the graduate level and for work in the industry. My professors were friendly, willing to answer questions outside of the classroom and were academically rigorous. I feel prepared to enter any job and think my time at CSUF aided me in my acceptance to Princeton and Oxford University. I recommend the CSUF Civil Engineering Department to anyone wanting to pursue studies and work in Civil Engineering." |

Alex Ramirez (senior) receives $15,000 Dwight David Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship from the U.S. Department of Transportation
Alex will be working on developing innovative strategies to address traffic infrastructure in Southern California. "The current carpool system needs urgent revising," Alex said, especially in the Southern California region, "where the urban and suburban infrastructure has made the region a clog of automobiles in streets and freeways. Many families make the decision to move farther from their jobs simply because homes are more affordable. This creates longer drive times for more people and greater congestion on the freeways." |
