Admission Requirements

Entering freshmen should have a preparation, which includes two years of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and one year of physics. Students deficient in mathematics or physics must take special preparatory courses, i.e., Mathematics 125 or Physics 115, which will not carry credit for the degree. The degree program assumes that the student has already obtained a working knowledge of personal computing fundamentals and applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, database systems, e-mail systems, the World Wide Web, and presentation graphics. Students without this knowledge may be required to take up to three additional units of course work beyond those normally required. These additional three units will not carry credit for the degree.
