Colgate-Palmolive and our subsidiary Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Inc. are offering a summer internship opportunity designed for those individuals who have a strong interest in pursing a career in consumer product manufacturing.  This opportunity would allow successful individuals to test their engineeringabilities and further explore career interests. Not only does a summer internship provide a first-hand look and experience inside the Colgate organization, it also gives Colgate an opportunity to get to know the individual. Successful interns will demonstrate strong team building and communication skills, as well as the ability to plan and prioritize.

At Colgate-Palmolive, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Inc., we offer exceptional opportunities within a truly global consumer products company: our operations are based in more than 80 countries; our products meet the needs of six billion people.  As an Engineering intern, individuals will be able to bring engineering expertise to our manufacturing & engineering functions.  

Individuals who join  Engineering , will be an active member of a group serving a consultant role to subsidiary manufacturing sites, assisting in technology transfer, process development, and design and implementation support in conjunction with other functions and departments.  

Individuals, who join Manufacturing Operations, will serve as part of the team responsible for producing and packaging company products.  As a team member individuals will gain knowledge of and interact with those involved in equipment installation, production line design and layout, process optimization, plant troubleshooting and direct supervision of operations.  Individuals will also have an opportunity to contribute to ongoing continuous improvement processes in support of new product launches, installations, shop tests, and other plant-related projects.

Qualifications:

  • Current Juniors pursuing degrees in the following disciplines: Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Logistics, Packaging Engineering, Supply Chain or Manufacturing
  • Superior  interpersonal and communication skills
  • Project management and quantitative skills
  • Manufacturing internship experience
  • Foreign language proficiency preferable
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Mobility is essential

The Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program

The Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program (NREIP) is a ten week summer research opportunity for undergraduate Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors, and Graduate students, under the guidance of a mentor, at a participating Navy Laboratory. The stipend amounts for the program are $5,250.00 for Sophomores, $7,880.00 for Junior and Senior undergraduate students and $10,500.00 for graduate students. U.S. citizenship required; Permanent residents accepted at certain labs.
