Time to Apply for Financial Aid for the 2015-2016 Academic Year!!!

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available to be completed for the upcoming Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 semesters. We strongly encourage all CSUF students to file their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) electronically at www.fafsa.ed.gov by the March 2nd  priority filing date.  CSUF’s school code number is 001137.
The California Dream Act application should be filed by students who may be eligible for California state aid programs only under the AB 540 student status.  The CA Dream Act application is available online at  http://www.csac.ca.gov/dream_act.asp.
New Financial Aid Programs:

  • The Middle Class Scholarship is new source of scholarship assistance open to California residents who do not demonstrate financial need to qualify for other types of grant assistance.  Please see all the details of the program and how to apply at the CA Student Aid Commission site http://www.csac.ca.gov/mcs.asp
  • CA Dream Loan is scheduled to be available beginning Fall 2015.  This proposed new state loan program is for students who meet the AB 540 student status requirements. Further details are forthcoming. 

CSUF Scholarship applications are available on-line at the Student Portal. Simply click on the scholarship icon and begin the process to apply for CSUF scholarships.  All students can apply for CSUF Scholarship opportunities!

Need Help?  Drop In Hours:  We are here to help… Financial Aid staff are available to assist students who have questions about completing the 2015-2016 FAFSA or the CA Dream Act Application. Walk-In hours for application assistance are: February 2- March 2, 2015, Monday –Wednesday 9AM- 3PM and Thursdays 1-3 PM.
