Directory & Login Information

Directory & Login Information Overview Open Directory & Login Information by clicking on "Directory/Login Info" button in the upper left hand side of the Profile tab. A window will popup that displays your current opt-in settings, home web url, industry, secret question, secret answer. Any of these items may be changed here as well as your Alumni Portal username and password. When done making changes, click on submit to apply changes. Click cancel to close window and bypass changes. Opt-in Fields Your data that is displaying in the Online Alumni Directory will have a "Y" selected next to it in the opt-in list. Select "N" next to any opt-in data that is to not display. Select "Y" in Allow e-mail from "Send E-mail to Alumni" feature to receive e-mail or "N" to block e-mail from other alumni using the "Send E-mail to Alumni" feature. Industry Industry tells us what area of work you are in. To change an industry: 1) Select the appropriate industry group 2) Then select your industry from the industry list that displays. Select "No Industry Group" from the industry group if your industry is not found. Homepage Url Enter in the url of a site you would like your fellow classmates to see. When a url is entered and it has been opted-in ("Y" is selected next to display web url?), the link will appear with your other information in the Online Alumni Directory . The format of the url is a valid web address - may have "http://", or not. If "http://" is not entered, it is automatically added to your url when the url is displayed. Username and Password To change your username, click "Y" next to Change username? and your current username will display. Type in a new username. To change your password, click "Y" next to Change password? and a text box will appear. Type in a new password here and then retype the new password in "retype password" field to verify you have typed in the password desired. Username and password changes are effective on the next login.
