NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION
It is that time again, when we welcome new students to the CSUF campus. The New Student & Parent programs host their annual orientation sessions for first-time freshmen, transfer students, as well as parents and families.
New Student Orientation (NSO) is a perfect opportunity for students to meet with their peers, learn about campus life, meet with academic advisors and get help registering for classes. Orientations are typically held during the summer, between June – August.
IT plays a big role during the orientation programs. One of the stops students make during their tour is at the TitanCard desk located in the Pollak Library. This is an ideal opportunity for students to get their campus ID card. Every year the TitanCard desk services thousands of students during orientation; last summer they issued over 7,000 cards during NSO. Students are also introduced to the Titan Computer Lab in the Pollak Library where they not only get to register for classes, but learn about student technologies such as the Student Genius Corner, the Information & Learning Commons and free software provided by IT.
