This process is a petition based process only. A student who was disqualified at the end of the spring semester may have the opportunity (it is not guaranteed) to qualify for fall reinstatement if she/he enrolls in summer courses at CSUF and raises her/his CSUF GPA to 2.0 by July 24, 2009.If a student was disqualified based on the cumulatvie GPA she/he can enroll in summer classes at the community college.Summmer grade petitions are reviewed by an appropriate campus authority and either approved or denied. This is not a guaranteed reinstatement and will depend on academic performance during the fall and spring academic semesters.
The following criteria will be considered for the fall reinstatement peition process:
Students enrolled in summer sessions C, B and E will not qualify for reinstatement because there is not enough time to process their reinstatement before the start of the fall semester.
If you have filed a reinstatement based on your summer grades with your advisor please do not contact them directly. Once your grades have been posted for summer session A and D, the Academic Advisement Center will review the grades you received for that session. This process may take up to two weeks to process. If your reinstatement is granted, you will receive a notification letter from Admissions and Records. You will be able to register for the fall 2009 semester approximately two days after your reinstatement is completed. If your reinstatement petition is denied, you must follow the recommendations listed on your disqualification worksheet in order to qualify for readmission to CSUF.
