The Academic Senate is the offical representative legislative body of the university and speaks on behalf of the university community on matters within its purview. The purpose of the Senate is to recommend policy on curriculum, academic standards, criteria and standards for the selection, retention and tenure of faculty members and other matters that affect faculty and students.
The ATC focuses on the development and provision of technology to the faculty. All equipment in the center can be reserved for use by faculty to complete work individually, or in collaboration with FDC coordinators or IT staff. The ATC provides technology support for: Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI); Adaptive Learning; Technology Training; Electronic, Tetention, Tenure & Promotion (ERTP) Portfolios; TITAnium/Learning Management Systems (LMS); technology question and mobile device support; data destruction and recovery; pasword reset; Virtual Private Networks (VPN) setup; AV cabinet key checkout; and Classroom Technology Demo Room.

The Faculty Development Center (FDC) Promotes career-long faculty development in teaching and learning, scholarly and creative activities, professional and service activities, and the use of technology in these areas by providing collegial support, resources, and recognition.
The Faculty Support Services (FSS) unit provides direction and oversight to the Faculty Commons located on the 2nd floor of Pollak Library South. Combining the faculty support strength of the Divisions of Information Technology and Academic Affairs, and led by the Assistant Vice-President for Faculty Support Services, the directors and staff of the Academic Technology Center (ATC-IT), Faculty Affairs and Records (FAR-AA), Faculty Development Center (FDC-AA) and Online Education and Training (OET-AA) work together to provide supports and services to ALL faculty.
