Learning goals and student learning outcomes
The following goals and outcomes have been established for students pursuing the MS degree in Kinesiology
Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the foundations of human movement in two or more sub-disciplines of Kinesiology
- Explain, distinguish and form appropriate links among selected theories within two or more kinesiology sub-disciplines
Interpret, evaluate, synthesize, and design research studies
- Formulate appropriate research questions and study designs that are grounded in a comprehensive understanding of research literature; employ scientific method; follow principles of quantitative and qualitative design
Demonstrate professional practice skills including presentation development, public speaking, graduate level writing, and information literacy
- Create professional posters and oral presentations for professional conferences
Demonstrate additional in-depth knowledge and skills needed for advanced graduate education or professional career
- Enroll, participate and contribute to professional organizations
