Admissions Updates

Fall 2015 (First-Time Freshmen Undergraduate)

CSU Fullerton will open for First-Time Freshmen applicants for Fall 2015 beginning October 1, 2014 through November 30, 2014. Apply early!

CSU Fullerton is an impacted campus for all first time freshmen. Impaction means that there are more applications for a campus than can be accommodated. In order to ensure that capacity is not exceeded, more rigorous standards are applied to the freshmen applicant pool.

Like last Fall, we anticipate the competition for the Fall of 2015 to be quite keen as it was last Fall. Admission to all majors at CSU Fullerton is impacted and competitive as we continue to have more qualified applicants than available new student spaces. The most competitive majors for FTF last year aside from Nursing would be Psychology, Computer Engineering integrated BS/MS, Kinesiology, Biological Science and Biochemistry.

Also be sure to read about our Fall 2015 First-Time Freshmen campus and major impaction policy, admission requirements, including additional major requirements, and admission deadlines.

Fall 2015 (Graduate)

CSU Fullerton will begin accepting applications from graduate and post-baccalaureate applicants for the Fall 2015 term beginning October 1st. The Admissions Office continues to accept and review applications until enrollment goals have been met. Please be advised that due to enrollment pressures, we anticipate closing many admission categories quickly. Apply early!

Information regarding more detailed admission requirements, degrees offered, program adviser contacts, e-mail addresses and phone numbers may be obtained on the Graduate Studies Website at www.fullerton.edu/graduate.

Fall 2015 (Transfer Undergraduate)

CSU Fullerton will open for Upper Division Transfer applicants for Fall 2015 beginning October 1, 2014 through November 30, 2014. Apply early!

CSU Fullerton is an impacted campus at the transfer level. Impaction means that there are more applications for a campus than can be accommodated. In order to ensure that capacity is not exceeded, more rigorous standards are applied to the transfer applicant pool. Impacted criteria may include local vs. out of local and major program impaction.

Admission to all majors at CSU Fullerton is competitive as we continue to have more qualified applicants than available new student spaces. All transfer students must declare a major when submitting their application. Transfer applicants must meet minimum CSU Upper Division Transfer eligibility requirements to be considered.

Also be sure to read about our Fall 2015 Upper Division Transfer campus and major impaction policy, admission requirements, including additional major requirements, and admission deadlines.

Spring 2015 (First-Time Freshmen Undergraduate)

CSU Fullerton is closed for First-Time Freshmen applicants for Spring 2015.

Spring 2015 (Graduate)

CSU Fullerton is open for Spring 2015 beginning August 1, 2014.

Spring 2015 (Transfer Undergraduate)

CSU Fullerton is open for the Spring 2015 semester to upper division transfers from August 1, 2014 through August 31st. Please apply as soon as possible beginning in August. We are open to all majors and programs.  By the end of Summer 2014, applicants must have completed the four basic subjects in General Education and have earned at least a C grade or better in each course. In addition, all applicants must have completed at least 60 transferable units by the end of the Fall 2014 semester.

CSU Fullerton is an impacted campus at the transfer level. Impaction means that there are more applications for a campus than can be accommodated. In order to ensure that capacity is not exceeded, more rigorous standards are applied to the transfer applicant pool. Impacted criteria may include local vs. out of local and major program impaction (see information on Majors with additional requirements).

Please note, although we are open to applications for the Spring of 2015, we anticipate welcoming a smaller transfer class then a normal Spring term. This will mean the competition to get a place in the Spring transfer class will most likely be higher than it was in Fall 2014.

Please consider applying to more than our campus for the Spring as we are impacted and we will not have space for all CSU qualified applicants. Please apply to a non-impacted CSU campus to keep as many options open to continue your education.
