Special Programs
 Cross Enrollment:
Undergraduate students who are enrolled at local campuses of the
UC or the community college system may enroll in one class per
semester, on a space available basis, for a $23* processing fee.
Contact the registrar at the home campus for the forms and further
information.
*Processing fee is subject to change.
Visiting Students from Other CSU Campuses:
Students may enroll at CSUF for one semester by completing the
appropriate forms available from the registrar at their home campus.
No transcripts are required. Visitor students attend only the host
campus for the specified term; whereas Concurrent students attend
both the home campus and host campus. Fees for Visitor students are
paid at the host campus; those for Concurrent students are only paid
at the home campus.
Transitory Students or Visitors from Other
Colleges or Universities:
Students who are in good standing at accredited institutions may
attend CSUF for one semester with the permission of their home
campus. An application and fee are required.
High School Honors:
High school students who meet first time freshmen admission
requirements may attend CSUF with the permission of their high
school counselor and the department which offers the course. An
application is required and the student pays the same fees as a
matriculated student.
Housing:
Dormitory accommodations are available for about 400 students.
Room assignments are only made after students are admitted to the
university. The housing department does offer help in finding off
campus housing in nearby apartments or homes.
Tests:
Some tests may be required for admission at the undergraduate
level. These include the SAT I or ACT and the TOEFL. Several tests
are required for placement in coursework. These tests are taken
after admission to the university. The CSU statewide Placement
exams, the entry level math test (ELM) and the English placement
tests (EPT), must be taken before enrollment unless waived through
exemption from high SAT I, AP, SAT II scores or appropriate
coursework. There are also campus placement exams offered by several
departments which must be taken before enrollment in their courses. |
