Director of Athletics Finalist
Currently an Associate Director of Athletics at Syracuse University who has served in this capacity since 2006. Mullin is responsible for supervising and providing managerial support to the equipment room, sports medicine department, weight room, and video support services. Mullin also supervises the men’s lacrosse, women’s ice hockey, field hockey and the rowing programs. He is the lead administrator in Athletics for strategic planning, serves as part of the Athletics Director senior staff, has led various head coaches searches, negotiated personnel and various contracts on behalf of the department, and is involved with budget oversight for the programs and departments under his leadership.
Prior to his appointment as associate director of athletics, Mullin was the Director of Athletic Compliance at Syracuse University and served in this capacity from July of 2003 to July of 2006.
Mullin joined the SU staff after working at Fresno State for two years. He was named Fresno State’s Director of Compliance in June 2001 and was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance one year later.
Prior to his tenure at Fresno State, Mullin worked in the compliance office at Central Michigan University as an assistant from August 1999 through May 2001. Mullin earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Northern Michigan University and his master’s degree in sport administration at Central Michigan University. Mullin and his wife Sara reside in Jamesville, NY with their sons Tate and Quinn.
