Fundraising Events
All campus fundraising events should be coordinated through the Major Events office in University Advancement. Please contact Stefanie Light, Senior Director, Major Events, at 657-278-7728 or slight@fullerton.edu. There are various requirements that must be followed for certain types of fundraising events and activities. Each college, the Student Affairs division, and Athletics are assigned a Director of Development and these individuals are involved in fundraising activities. Click here for a list of the Directors of Development and their contact information.
Matching Gifts
Many companies offer a matching gift program and will match any funds their employees donate to the University. Generally, the employee must complete and sign a form provided by their company and submit it to University Advancement Gift Processing (CP-850) to verify receipt of the funds. UA Gift Processing will mail the completed form to the company who will process and send back the matching gift funds. To find out whether your employer or your spouse's employer offers a matching gift program, click here.
In-Kind Gifts
In-kind gifts are donated directly the University (not to the Cal State Fullerton Philanthropic Foundation).
Gift Acceptance Policy
In-kind gifts are generally donated directly to the University (not through Cal State Fullerton Philanthropic Foundation) and must be pre-approved by the University Gift Acceptance Committee before the in-kind gift can be officially accepted by the University. The In-Kind Gift Acceptance Form should be completed and submitted to the University Gift Administrator in CP-850 to start the in-kind gift process. Please refer to the document In-Kind Gift Guidelines and Acceptance Form Instructions for more information.
If you have any questions regarding the processing of in-kind gifts, please contact the appropriate Director of Development in University Advancement for further information.
Gift Acceptance Committee
The President has delegated authority to accept gifts on behalf of the University to the Gift Acceptance Committee. The Committee may delegate this authority as it deems appropriate. The Committee consists of the Vice President for University Advancement, who serves as Chair, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Vice President for Administration and Finance/CFO, or their designees. The President or the Vice President for Advancement may appoint additional members to the Committee as they deem appropriate.
