How much is admission to the Going for the Gold event?
The Health Expo is Free! However, registration for the 5K run and 1K walk is as follows:
Pre-Registration (March 1 to March 31)
CSUF Students; $10
CSUF Alumni, Faculty & Staff; $15
Community Members $20
Late Registration (after March 31): $25
Is there a training program for the 5K Run and 1K walk?

What time should I arrive?
Registration for the walk/run begins at 7:30 a.m
How do I get to CSUF’s Going for the Gold Event?

Where should I park?
Parking is free. You may park in lot E. Click here for a map of the campus.
What if it rains?
Bring an umbrella! We’re happy to see you, rain or shine!
What if I only want to attend the health expo, can I?
Absolutely! The Health Expo is free and open to everyone. The health expo will take place from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
On event day, what do I need to bring?
Your enthusiasm, your family and friends.
What should I wear?
A good pair of walking/running shoes and comfortable clothing.
Where will the proceeds raised from the event go?
To further educational research in areas such as childhood obesity, successful aging, and cancer disparities.
What portion of the registration fee is tax deductible?
Can I bring my pet?

Can I walk with my child in a stroller?
Yes! This is a family friendly event. However, strollers will be permitted on the 1K walk only. Please no strollers on the 5K run.
