Wine & Beer Tasting Event
Thirty-five alumni and guests gathered at the Accounting Alumni Chapter's annual Wine & Beer Tasting event on January 14 hosted in downtown Fullerton at CSUF alumnus-owned, The Twisted Vine. The group enjoyed socializing over a nice selection of wines, beer and hors d'ouerves.
Jennifer Cavender '00 noted, "This was a great event to connect with alumni that I have known for years as well as to meet new ones. Connecting with those who have taken different paths than I did is always interesting and helps to expand my professional network."
Branding Yourself as a Business of One
Jeff Beals, the award-winning author of "Self Marketing Power" shared with attendees the art of self marketing and building one's personal brand on September 14 at a Joint Chapters Mixer at the O’Brien Room in Mihaylo College. Beals shared that the art of self marketing is difficult for a lot of people and provided tips to help build personal brand while striking a balance between healthy self promotion and egotistical boasting.
In attendance was current student, Conrad Hawk, who won a coaching session donated by Life Coach and alumna, Mina Watkins '01.

Established in Fall 2006, the mission of the Accounting Alumni Association is to provide a means for alumni and friends of the Accounting Program at California State University, Fullerton to promote the success of its alumni, contribute to the accounting program in order to enhance its stature and support its needs, and also to provide a mechanism for alumni and friends to network with each other as well as with the faculty and students at the University.
