Vision & Visionaries
Saturday, May 3, 2008: The Vision & Visionaries award is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon CSUF alumni and is awarded based on significant contributions to the community, state or nation. Six distinguished recipients have been selected to receive the 2008 award during the annual event to be held at the Disneyland Hotel Grand Ballroom.

San Diego Area Alumni Event
On Wednesday, November 7, a regional alumni event was held for Titans living and working in the San Diego area. Over 70 alumni and guests attended the reception at the Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club in San Diego.
2007 Jerry Goodwin Alumni Association Golf Tournament
On September 24, more than 90 golfers took part in the annual tournament at the Yorba Linda Country Club raising over $19,000 to fund Alumni Association scholarships.

50th Anniversary Open House & Alumni Homecoming
Many thanks to all alumni who joined us in celebrating Cal State Fullerton's 50th Anniversary at the Open House & Alumni Homecoming on September 15. Alumni who visited the Association Decade Booths received a commemorative 50th Anniversary alumni pin.
Sacramento Networking Luncheon
On August 23, CSUF alumni living and working in the Sacramento area attended a networking luncheon event at Mason's at the Park Downtown. State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O'Connell, who is also a Titan alumnus, addressed attendees at the event and shared his passion for public education and the importance of universities such as Cal State Fullerton. University President Milton A. Gordon shared news about the university, an update on the special events planned for the 50th Anniversary and answered alumni audience questions.
New Student Recreation Center (SRC)
Alumni Association members can enroll NOW for the NEW Student Recreation Center at a discounted rate! The $40 million, 95,000 sq ft center will open its doors to the CSUF community early spring 2008.

New Chapters
Two new alumni chapters were chartered this fall by the Alumni Association. We proudly welcome the English Languages & Literatures Chapter and the Sacramento Area Alumni Chapter into the program.
Pending Chapters
There are currently two pending alumni chapters in the program, the San Diego Area Alumni group and Los Maestros Alumni group. To learn more about these groups and how to become a member, please visit their websites.
Nonprofit Professionals Alumni Chapter

Alumni Chapters at the 50th Anniversary Open House
Several Alumni Chapters participated in the special CSUF 50th Anniversary celebration on Saturday, September 15. Officers from the Accounting Chapter, African-American Chapter, Communications Chapter, Counseling Chapter and VAMBA Chapter met with alumni and friends at tables in the quad.
VAMBA Chapter
The VAMBA Alumni Chapter of CSUF held their first-ever VIBE Expo event. This special event was held on campus at the Titan Student Union and kicked off a weekend expo for students, alumni, campus community and friends of CSUF to enjoy. Click here for more information.
