MSIDT (Masters Degree in Instructional Design & Technology) Alumni Chapter
Randall Fujimoto ’10 led the final installment of the MSIDT Chapter’s three-part series on educational gaming with the webinar “Transmedia Games for Learning” on Saturday, February 15. Participants discussed transmedia gaming and how these new types of games can be used for educational purposes. Randall is the director of GameTrain Learning, Inc., an educational nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote game-based learning in schools and organizations.

On Saturday, January 11, the chapter held its second webinar in the three-part series about the use of games in education. Randall Fujimoto ’10 from Cohort 7 led an interactive webinar on "Gamification in Education". Randall is the director of GameTrain Learning, Inc., an educational nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote game-based learning in schools and organizations. This was the 2nd of a 3 part series. The final webinar will be on February 15th.

On Saturday, November 23, 2013, the MSIDT Alumni Chapter held its first webinar in a new series related to instructional design and technology. The interactive webinar featured a discussion about the use of games and gaming principles in schools and businesses. The webinar was presented by Randall Fujimoto ’10, the director of GameTrain Learning, Inc., an educational nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote game-based learning in schools and organizations.
The MSIDT Chapter’s purpose is to grow as the MSIDT program does, and adapt and change with the ever-expanding field of instructional design and technology in education, government, and the private sector.
- To facilitate social interaction and peer support among the members of the association.
- To serve as a vehicle of communication between the individual alumni, the Cal State Fullerton Alumni Association, the University and the MSIDT program.
- To promote the professional image and awareness of the instructional design field.
- To offer opportunities for professional networking.
- To assist with the educational experience for current MSIDT students, including mentoring opportunities between graduates and students.
