Concert Under the Stars - Potluck

Join the Nonprofit Professionals Alumni Chapter on Saturday, September 13 at Cal State Fullerton's Concert Under the Stars for a potluck and evening of entertainment, fireworks, and community with fellow nonprofit professional alumni. Bring your own chairs or blanket and favorite dish to share or purchase dinner from a variety of gourmet food trucks within the concession area. You can pre-order food to make it a little easier. Chapter members will be gathering on the lawn north of the gym at 5 p.m. Concert starts at 7:30pm. Lawn seating is free.

Chapter NewsSpring Mixer Touches on New Industry Trends
The NPAC 2014 Spring Mixer featured guest speaker Anne Olin, President & CEO of the Olin Group. We talked about some of the cutting edge concepts in the industry and how these ideas are being implemented on the front line. We also discussed how nonprofit professionals can evolve their efforts while continuing to meet service delivery needs. The trends this seminar explored included collaboration, collective impact, sustainability, scalability, and more.
14th annual Nonprofit Professionals Alumni Chapter Award presented
NP chapter board member Naheemah McMcMicheaux '07 represented the NP chapter at the annual Community Engagement Awards to present a $1,000 award to Nicole Nishimura. The award has been presented annually since the chapter was founded, with generous contributions from CSUF alumni who want to encourage students to pursue careers in the nonprofit sector.
The purpose of the Nonprofit Professionals Chapter is to reacquaint fellow Cal State Fullerton alumni, and to join together in professional development, social activity, and community service.
- To assist with strengthening the educational experience of Cal State Fullerton students.
- To help connect alumni with one another, with other nonprofit professionals, and with the University.
- To promote the professional image of the nonprofit sector.
- To foster strong links between present and former students, and to create mentoring opportunities for current students.
- To offer opportunities for professional networking.
- To facilitate social interactions among the members of the association.
