Each year, Fullerton alumni, association members, parents and friends gather together to celebrate their Titan Pride and cheer on our baseball team to victory. This event, in honor of our great elephant mascot Tuffy, is “The Night of the Pachyderm”.
On May 3, Titans came back to CSUF to honor their roots as nearly 300 guests experienced a sold out tailgate event at the Alumni House. The evening was filled with CSUF spirit as the crowd enjoyed great food, music and the chance to make their own Titan sunglasses. Night of the Pachyderm also offered Titan fans and parents the unique opportunity to visit the Golleher Alumni House, a historic building on campus dedicated to our more than 215,000 proud alumni.
Peter Hopkins ’84, Alumni Association Board Member, expressed, “Night of the Pachyderm is one of my favorite events of the year. It was great to see so many Fullerton supporters at the tailgate and baseball game having a fantastic time. I especially enjoyed seeing the Titans ‘Sit on the Beach’ with a win over the Dirtbags!”
After the tailgate, attendees rooted their Titan baseball team to a victory watched with 3, 136 fans as they overthrew the Long Beach Dirtbags 3-2 in the first of a three game sweep!
Until next year’s Night of the Pachyderm, GO TITANS!
Night of the Pachyderm was possible with the generous sponsorship of Liberty Mutual Insurance and co-sponsored by the Cal State Fullerton Alumni Association and New Student Programs, Parent Programs.
