Professor Sonenshein has been a professor of political science at Cal State Fullerton since 1982. He is a prolific public speaker and author, as well as an expert often quoted in the media regarding politics throughout California. Renowned author of three books, his work includes topics on race, ethnicity and governmental reform in Los Angeles. He received his B.A. in public policy from Princeton University and both his M.A. and Ph.D. from Yale University.

Mission

The mission of the Sacramento Chapter of the Alumni Association is to create opportunities for social interaction and professional development for alumni of Cal State Fullerton.

Objectives

  • To be a positive reflection of the Association and of CSUF, by inspiring and assisting students and alumni to reach their potential through professional networking and social interaction as our group membership grows.

  • To promote the value of the CSUF education, through active participation, ethical behavior and financial support.

  • To facilitate and participate in the University's advocacy efforts, recognizing that a strong Alumni Association representation in the state capital will benefit the future of the university, its students and its graduates.

  • To foster strong links between alumni with present and future students by creating mentoring opportunities for student.
