Professor Sonenshein has been a professor of political science at Cal State Fullerton
since 1982. He is a prolific public speaker and author, as well as an expert often quoted
in the media regarding politics throughout California. Renowned author of three books,
his work includes topics on race, ethnicity and governmental reform in Los Angeles. He
received his B.A. in public policy from Princeton University and both his M.A. and Ph.D.
from Yale University.
