 Andrea Duran Portrait Andrea will begin her first year of the Kinesiology Graduate Program in the fall. Her career and educational plans for her future are geared towards achieving her overall goal to initiate change within an individual and grassroots community level toward a healthier society. Andrea’s long term goal is to pioneer a non-profit center that educates the community about obesity and diabetes prevention.

During her undergraduate experience at CSUF, Andrea was a highly involved Titan. Some of her extra-curricular activities included: Health & Human Development Inter Club Council, Student Ambassador for ASI, Captain & President for the hip hop team “Elevate”. Andrea was also an active member in Kappa Omicron Nu Honor Society and the Kinesiology and Health Science Association.

Andrea brings a wealth of research experience with her to her graduate program. She has served as a research assistant, researcher and participant since September 2007. She is currently a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is eager to focus her studies in the field of movement sciences and exercise physiology.

Upon completion of her graduate program, Andrea plans to pursue a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine. There are great things in store for this Titan Alumna!
