Nahid Shirazi is a Linguistics major graduating with her Master’s in Fall 2012. She is treasurer of the CSUF Linguistics Student Association, a social club for linguistics students and anyone interested in the subject. Nahid is an International Student involved in the International Education and Exchange office. She has worked in the IEE as a Volunteer International Peer since 2011.
In her native country of Iran, Nahid was a member of the famous non-profit climbing club, Damavand Ski & Mountaineering Club. She was on the Board of Directors, and she guided different climbing activities all over the world. Nahid is devoted to the research and documentation of endangered languages. She is looking forward to completing her studies and possibly pursuing a career in Computational Linguistics.
