Rachel is the 2014 recipient of the Outstanding Graduate Student Award as she works to complete her Doctor of Nursing Practice. On campus, she was selected to represent nursing students at the CSU Occupations lobby day in Sacramento earlier this year. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society for nursing and has been recognized by several national scholarships for her contributions to the profession of nursing. Rachel has served on the Oxnard Supportive Services association, holding several different leadership positions. She has also stayed active with the Girl Scouts, her local PTA, and helped produce a statewide conference aimed at nursing faculty. All of this was in addition to her full-time job responsibilities, raising two small daughters, and her doctoral studies. We wish her the best as she chases after her bright future.
