About Institutional Research and Analytical Studies
The mission of the Office of Institutional Research and Analytical Studies is to provide and promote institutional self-understanding through research and analysis. The office is responsible for organizing and presenting research results, models, alternative scenarios, and other information essential to campus policy formulation, academic planning, resource allocation, assessment and quality, and institutional effectiveness.
Enrollment trends and forecasting, student and faculty demography, recruitment and retention, resource allocation and utilization, curricular change and student learning, and any other topic relevant to documenting and improving educational and institutional effectiveness are all within our purview. The Office of IR&AS is an all-university, central resource for institutional facts and figures, methodological advice and problem solving, and is also the chief source of official statistics for the campus.
