  7. Interview scholarship recipients & create a Power Point presentation for the website and donor events
  8. Tell us your idea; we want you to feel a part of the College of Education

College of Engineering and Computer Science

  1. Join one of our 20 ECS student organizations to learn about the many specialties in engineering and computer science
  2. Attend a free Technology Breakfast presentation to meet professionals from top industries in Southern California
  3. Sign up for the ECS Alumni Mentor Luncheon to learn tips for success from some of our many accomplished alumni
  4. Update (or create) your résumé and visit the ECS Career Fair to find out what jobs and internships are available to ECS grads
  5. Get involved in an interdisciplinary student project – such as the Elephant Robot Team, Micro Mouse or CSUF Motorsports
  6. Help high school students learn about engineering and computer science by displaying projects, giving lab tours or visiting local schools
  7. Earn a free ticket to the annual ECS Spring Awards by winning a scholarship, completing an outstanding design project, or leading your peers in a student club

College of Health and Human Development

  1. Write articles for or edit the College student newsletter
  2. Join the InterClub Council Board as the ICC expo coordinator
  3. Volunteer for the “Go for the Gold” 5K run/walk
  4. Submit a conference proposal and request funding from the ICC
  5. Get – and stay on – the Dean’s list and join one of our professional honorary societies
  6. Participate with your club or organization in the College’s open house in April
  7. Make suggestions for the content of the College’s bulletin board

College of Humanities and Social Sciences

  1. Create additional liaisons with other departments the same as we have with Counseling and Career Services
  2. Expand the H&SS Week activities
  3. Develop a system to deliver H&SS major information to all undecided students
  4. Create a committee comprised of Asian Faculty and Staff to explore the feasibility of an Asian Pacific Cultural Center
  5. Increase the number of H&SS students who apply for department scholarships through a focused campaign
  6. Support collaborative noontime lectures between faculty and students in the Student Access Center (SAC)
  7. Continue to be a strong supporter of the work the Academic Advisement Center is performing
