Susan had a stellar career as a pitcher for the Titans' softball team from 1983 through 1986. During her career she won 100 games while only losing 21. Her victory total is still the best in Titan history. In her senior season, Susan led the Titans to the NCAA championship. She posted a 31-6 record and won the Broderick Award as the nation's best fast-pitch softball player. Her 34 complete games in 1986 are a school record. She also posted 7 saves and pitched 894.2 innings, another school record. In 1983 she was named to the College World Series All-Tournament team. In 1983 and 1986 she was also selected as a member of the All-West Region team. Her career ERA was 0.34. In all four of her seasons the team advanced to the NCAA Regional, three times making it to the College World Series.
Susan stands among the top performers at Cal State Fullerton in a number of categories, including first in career wins, first in appearances, third in ERA, second in lowest opponent batting average, ninth fewest walks per 7 innings, and first in games started, complete games, shutouts, strikeouts, and innings pitched. Susan studied computer science and earned her degree in 1989 from the College of Engineering and Computer Science.
She currently works as a software engineer for PacificLife in Newport Beach. She is married to Leroy Wyman, whom she met while playing co-ed softball, and they live in Trabuco Canyon with their daughter Jordin and son Leroy.
