President's Message

President Milton A. Gordon

In 2007 we celebrate a milestone anniversary – 50 years of teaching, research and public service to California and the nation.

As a dynamic, vibrant public university, Cal State Fullerton mirrors the expansive growth of this region and truly reflects the face of California’s diverse population. Some of our students are the first in their families to pursue a college education. For others, joining our proud Titan alumni has become a tradition among relatives and friends.

Our affordable, high quality education creates possibilities some of our students may not have imagined. Many of our academic programs have achieved national prominence because of our outstanding faculty and the achievements of our alumni.

At Cal State Fullerton, distinguished professors create an exceptional learning environment for their students, whether they’re teaching an introductory class to freshmen or working one-on-one with a future scientist. I am proud to say that our entire university community is committed to providing the support, encouragement and challenging opportunities to help make our students’ dreams and goals a reality.

As a metropolitan university that enjoys connections and partnerships with industry, government and the arts, we offer our students the wonderful advantages of a rich, multicultural diversity and numerous opportunities for internships, research and fieldwork, study abroad and other real-world experiences.

Our graduates are prepared to take leadership roles, to contribute and make a difference in their chosen careers whether its business or education, government or public service, science and technology, health professions or the arts.

Cal State Fullerton has made a difference in the lives of more than 176,000 Titan graduates, and in the future of California and the nation. It is with the greatest pride that we celebrate our achievements and prepare for our role to create endless possibilities for future generations – to discover, innovate and achieve.

Milton A. Gordon
President
