Teacher Education Programs
Undergraduates who commit to a career in as early as freshman year
should consider participating in an "integrated program."
Integrated teacher education programs are designed to allow students
to work on the requirements for the bachelor's degree and the teaching
credential simultaneously. These programs work well foe "early
deciders" who know early on in their college careers that they
want to enter the teaching profession. Students in these programs
follow a specific set of courses throughout their academic careers.
Depending on the program, there may be few, if any, electives.
