Admission Requirements for the Multiple Subject (Elementary) Credential Program

There are two types of Multiple Subject Credential Programs:

Traditional, post-baccalaureate program:

  • A two- or three-semester program, usually completed after the bachelor's degree has been awarded.

    - CSUF College of Education Traditional Credential Program http://ed.fullerton.edu/adtep/AppInfo/MultipleSubject/index.htm

    - CSU CalStateTEACH Program http://www.calstateteach.net/
is a non-traditional program that offers both a student teaching and an intern program for qualified candidates interested in earning their credential without attending traditional college classes. Instead, the curriculum is delivered online.
  • Some students can enter the credential program in their senior year, using credential program classes to reach the minimum 120 units required for the bachelor's degree. To be eligible, students must have completed all General Education requirements, credential prerequisites, and have no more than 6 units to complete in the major.
