Physical Education Content Specifications

Domain 1: Movement Skills and Movement Knowledge
This domain covers such content areas as basic movement skills, exercise physiology, and movement forms.

Domain 2: Self-Image and Personal Development
This domain covers such content areas as physical growth and development, and self-image.

Domain 3: Social Development
This domain covers such content areas as social aspects of physical education and cultural and historical aspects of movement forms.

The following class is recommended to cover Domains 1-3 in the Physical Education content specifications:

  • KNES 386: Movement and the Child
  • Several required courses in the CHAD major will cover parts of these domains.
