CMS Training and Support

CMS training will be delivered with a “just-in-time” approach, meaning that users will be trained just prior to the release of CMS functionality.  Several types of training will be offered, including small group classes, one-on-one sessions, customized department classes and web-based tutorials.  Refresher classes and open lab sessions will also be offered for users that would like additional support.

The CMS team works with representatives from each division to ensure that all system users will receive the right access at the right time. If you have been identified as a CMS user, the CMS team will contact you to schedule your training session. During your session, you will receive instructions on how to access the system, training on basic navigation in CMS and on any other specific functionality you will be using in the system.  You will be provided with a training guide, quick reference guides, and information on the online resources and tools that are available to you.  Just as with any other application on campus, users should contact the Help Desk at extension 7777 for technical help with CMS.

Users will now be able to register for CMS training using an online registration system through the campus portal. If you have been identified as a CMS user, you will receive an email requesting you to register for CMS training classes. This registration system will accommodate your schedule by allowing you to choose class dates and times that are convenient for you.
