Joan Horn comes to us from Cal Poly Pomona where she served as a member of the CMS Procurement team. Her experience with process mapping, fit gap, user training, and work flow documentation made her a welcome addition to the CMS Finance team. She is excited about the CMS Project and says “it’s the latest technology – it’s what we need”.

Interesting fact: Joan is a family oriented person who takes great pride in her large family. Her son currently holds the 5000M Track and Field record at Cal State Fullerton and for Christmas this year he bought the entire family running shoes.

Ellison Cho
CMS Staff backfill in Accounts Payable and Contracts & Procurement

“At Cal State Fullerton, everybody is so cooperative and helpful. I think the project will be successful because the participants are cooperative versus competitive”.

Ellison Cho joins Cal State Fullerton from the private sector where she worked with the PeopleSoft implementation. Her responsibilities with CMS include analyzing invoices and purchase orders for the implementation. She learns a lot from each department and actually uses one side of her desk for Accounts Payable tasks and the other side for Contracts & Procurement duties.

Her impression of CMS is that “It’s so easy to use. Its web based so you get results right away”.

Interesting Fact: Ellison likes to hike, camp, and bake. She recently baked a lemon soufflé that was very well received. She suggests using a smaller bowl to create a more dramatic presentation.
