Dear 2014 Graduates and Candidates,
Congratulations! Graduation from college marks a significant time in your life to pause and reflect upon all of your hard work and time committed. I hope you will join your faculty and fellow students as we honor you and other graduating students at the annual commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18, 2014.
Commencement is an important and joyous occasion filled with pageantry and academic tradition. I invite you and those who have supported and encouraged you during your studies to share in the celebration of your accomplishment.
The theme of this year’s commencement activities is Graduate with Titan Pride. We are offering formal, dignified ceremonies that you and your guests will remember with fond memories. The university ceremony honors all graduates of CSUF. The College of Communications will hold three ceremonies, one for the Department of Communications, one for the Department of Human Communication Studies, and one for the Department of Radio-TV-Film. These department ceremonies immediately follow the university ceremony. I personally ask that you and your guests demonstrate Titan Pride by showing respect to others by turning off cell phones during the ceremonies and by remaining in your seats until the conclusion of the ceremonies.
All of us in the College of Communications wish you great success and happiness in your future.
Sincerely,
William Briggs
Dean
College of Communications
