A Letter from the Dean of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics

Robert Koch

Dear Graduates and Candidates:

I invite you to participate in the formal and dignified ceremonies that will honor the Graduating Class of 2014. Commencement is a meaningful and rewarding experience; an academic tradition that honors the successful culmination of years of hard work. This is an event that you will look back on with pride for years to come. It is a day of respectful celebration for you to share with your fellow graduates, family, and friends.

This year’s commencement exercises will begin at 8:00 a.m. with an all-university ceremony that will feature a prominent speaker. The graduation for the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics will immediately follow the all-university ceremony. At the college's graduation, you will be recognized by name, congratulated by me and your department chair, and receive a certificate of participation. (You will receive your formal diploma at a later date.) During the ceremony, candidates for the Master’s degree will be individually hooded. The hooding of our Master's degree recipients is a very special occasion, so please be sure to attend.

On behalf of President García and the faculty and staff of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, I congratulate you on your accomplishments. I sincerely hope that you will join me and your fellow graduates and participate in California State University, Fullerton's commencement activities. I look forward to recognizing your achievement on this special day.

Sincerely,
