University Commencement Ceremony

What is the University Commencement Ceremony?

This ceremony will begin with a formal processional of all graduates and ends with a recessional. It features a formal presentation of the flag by ROTC and addresses from a distinguished keynote speaker, Interim President, Willie J. Hagan, and other dignitaries. A jumbotron will be in operation throughout the University Ceremony.

When and where is it?

The University Commencement Ceremony will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. on Sunday. Graduates should arrive no later than 7 a.m. and line up at the track North of the Titan Gymnasium. This ceremony should last approximately an hour. The University Commencement Ceremony will take place on the lawn North of the Titan Gym.

Who participates?

Graduates and faculty from all colleges will participate in this ceremony.

Who should come?

Friends and family. Tickets are not required to attend this ceremony.

What are the seating arrangements?

Seating arrangements are on a first come, first served basis only; saving seats is not allowed. The use of portable seating is not allowed. This ceremony takes place outdoors so dress appropriately for variable weather.
