Communication Working Groups
A number of university groups work to foster an environment of information-sharing, collaboration, and coordination in an effort to make the institution’s communications efforts as effective as possible.
"C4" - CSUF COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATING COMMITTEE
The cross-campus, multi-constituency C4 group seeks to improve the consistency, quality, and effectiveness of communications efforts primarily but not exclusively for external stakeholders through enhanced intra-campus information-sharing, collaboration, and coordination. The group is chaired by Strategic Communications with its members appointed by college deans, division vice presidents, and selected other programs and organizations on campus.
Social Media Working Group
The Social Media Working Group was established by C4 to serve as a coordinating committee specifically focused on developing guidelines and best practices for university engagement in social media venues, while also staying current on evolving trends and emerging technologies. The group, which usually meets in person on a quarterly basis, is chaired by Strategic Communications. The SMWG’s on-campus group email distribution list serves as the group's official roster.
OUCampus User Group
OUCampus User Group members collaborate and share specialized information on the implementation, use, and maintenance of the university’s web content management system. (OUCampus is the name of the WCMS. OmniUpdate is the vendor that maintains and supports the software.) The group, which meets in person on an as-needed basis, is chaired by Strategic Communications. The SMWG’s Facebook group serves as an official roster.
