The effectiveness of our communications here at Cal State Fullerton depends
, in part, on a campuswide effort to understand and adhere to
 common design and editorial standards.

Cal State Fullerton first adopted communication guidelines in 1996, recognizing the critical role of the institution's visual identity system, publications, web presence, media outreach, advertising and other efforts that help to support and advance the education mission of the university.

In order to continue to adequately protect and advance the university's image, market position and strategic goals, these standards have evolved over time to adapt to changing technology and emerging communication platforms and channels.
