Earning Media Coverage

Obtaining coverage by the news and information media is one of the most effective promotional tactics.

To reach external news media and the internal campus community

Strategic Communications is the chief steward of both the university's relationships with the external news media as well as the university's central internal communications efforts. As part of their work, StratComm staff produce content for the homepage banner and the university's News website, and utilize that content when appropriate in pitching stories to external news media. If you have information about university accomplishments, projects, studies and upcoming activities that you believe are worthy of coverage by the news media or internal communication channels, call 657-278-2414

To reach Titan alumni, donors, volunteers and friends of the university

Strategic Communications staff produces and publishes Titan Magazine, the university's signature publication posted online and mailed three times a year to 180,000 Titan alumni, donors and volunteers. We invite and depend on the campus community to submit information about accomplishments, projects, studies and upcoming activities for sharing with the larger family of Titan supporters, alumni and community leaders.
