Where do I buy my graduate and guest tickets?
Tickets can be purchased at the Associated Services Corporation (ASC) Office College Park 275, Monday - Friday, 12:30pm-4:30pm.
Ticket sales: Monday, March 24th through May 2nd or until sold out. Please take your completed RSVP form when purchasing your tickets.
Where do I pick up my tickets?
Tickets can be picked up with proof of Purchase receipt and your completed RSVP form at MH 104C starting the week of April 7, 2014 on Tuesday and Thursday 10:00am-3:00pm. and Friday 2:00pm-5:00pm. The following weeks, tickets will be distributed on Mondays and Wednesdays, 12:00pm-4:30pm and Fridays, 12:00pm-5:00pm.
What is the requirement to participate?
Participants must have an expected graduation date of Fall 13, Spring 14 or Summer 2014.
Can I still participate if I did not get an invitation via Email?
All students who anticipate graduating in Fall 2013, Spring or Summer 2014 are invited to participate in the event. If a student did not receive an invitation and will be graduating in Fall 2013, Spring or Summer 2014, you are still welcome to participate. Go to the MC 104C to pick up an RSVP form with proof of graduation.
What does the general admission include?
The admission includes a full course meal and program.
How many tickets can I buy?
There is no limit to the number of tickets purchased. However, tickets are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tickets are Non-Refundable/Non-Replaceable.
Can Tickets be purchased at the door?
No, Tickets can
be purchased through the ASC Office College Park 275.
What do I get for participating?
Participating students will receive a certificate and graduation sash. You must be in attendance to receive a sash. At the event there will be a professional photographer for you and your family to take portraits.
What is the process for applying to be the student keynote speaker?
Please pick up the Student Keynote Speaker Application at the CRC (PLS171). Follow the application procedures stated in the application packet. When you have the completed packet, please return application packet to Dr. Suarez in PLS 170A between the hours of 2:00pm-7:00pm, Monday –Thursday. Deadline to submit packet: Monday, April 14, 2014, 5:00pm.
How should I dress?
Business attire and/or semi-formal wear is recommended. Graduates are strongly encouraged to bring their cap and gown. Can children attend the event? Yes, children are welcome to attend. Tickets must be purchased for children 5 and over.
*** (It is very important that graduate candidates fill out an RSVP card when they pick up their ticket. A RSVP card received by April 25th will insure their name is added in the program. )*****
How is seating coordinated?
Seating is open and is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to the event to select seating in a desired location. (We cannot guarantee all family members will be able to seat together)
What if I need special accommodations? (Wheelchair access, hearing impaired, crutches, deaf, etc)
Please contact Rosalina Camacho at (657) 278-3928 to inform the committee of your needed accommodation. To insure the correct accommodation is secured, Ms. Camacho should be contacted at least two weeks before the event. (Monday, April 28, 2014).
Do I have to be Chicano/Latino or Native American to participate?
No, you do not have to be Chicano/Latino or Native American to participate. All 2014 graduates are welcome to participate, but an RSVP Card will need to be filled out to insure their name is added to the program.
Will there be a slide show this year?
Yes! Class of 2014 Graduates participating in the 26th annual Chicano/Latino & Native American Graduation Celebration are welcome to submit pictures showcasing community service, fundraisers, philanthropies, campus events, family gatherings, milestones, etc. Please include the type of event and the people in the picture along with your first and last name. All pictures must be received no later than April 25, 2014. NOT all pictures will be used in the slideshow. Please email all photos to firstname.lastname@example.org
