Lambda Sigma Gamma Sorority, Inc. was founded on the campus of Sacramento State University in October 24, 1986. Our Founder and Founding Mothers realized that organizations on campus did not meet the needs of women from minority backgrounds. Since then 21 more chapters have joined with Phi Chapter at CSUF as the most recent on November 20, 2004. Over the years Lambda Sigma Gamma Sorority Inc. has grown to include thousands of women from different creeds, ethnicities, cultures, socio-economic backgrounds, physical talents, mental abilities, and sexual preferences. Lambda Sigma Gamma was the first Multicultural Sorority on campus and is recognized as a member of MCGC.
