Mission

The mission of the Multicultural Leadership Center (MLC) is to develop student leaders who understand and embrace diversity. It is a learning environment committed to the support and development of all students, with a particular emphasis on issues of identity and culture.

Services

The MLC offers workshops and trainings designed to prepare students to become leaders in a global society who are self aware, culturally competent, civically engaged, and critical thinkers. Programs address issues related but not limited to: race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, gender, ability, and class.

The MLC also functions as a resource to student leaders and culturally-related student organizations through advisement and training on event planning, group development and organizational management.

The MLC is located in the Titan Student Union (TSU- 234) and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm.  Students can access one of three personal computers and utilize our printer with their Titan Card.  We also have a television and DVD player.  The MLC maintains a small collection of diversity-themed DVDs and books and subscriptions to The Advocate, Out, and Curve magazines available to the campus community.  Additionally, we also have a small area for individual study and where student organizations can arrange to meet. Space is available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
