Congratulations on your admittance to California
State University, Fullerton!
We know you have a wonderful experience ahead of
you, full of great memories. That said, we
know the transition into college life can be both
exciting and challenging. From now on, make sure
you pay special attention to the mail you receive
from the university. Set up a system to keep track
of all the important information you collect. In
addition, make copies of all the documents you send
to Cal State Fullerton. Furthermore, pay particular
attention to all deadlines in order to guarantee
registration access, financial aid eligibility, etc.
Finally, by attending orientation, we can help you
make the right choices as you begin your journey
toward academic success!
FIRST-TIME FRESHMEN
New Student Orientation
(NSO) is MANDATORY for all first-time freshmen
(admitted for fall 2010). All first-time
freshmen admitted for fall 2010 must sign up for a
New Student Orientation session no later than 5:00pm
on Thursday, May 6, 2010 in order to attend Cal State
Fullerton in the fall. Signing up for NSO
confirms your intent to attend CSUF. If you do
not sign up for a session date, you risk losing your
admissions offer to the university.
You will be able to sign up for a Summer 2010 New
Student Orientation (NSO) session beginning Monday,
April 5, 2010 at 12:00pm.
TRANSFER STUDENTS
Transfer Orientation is MANDATORY for all newly
admitted transfer students.
All newly admitted
transfer students must either attend a Transfer
Student Orientation (TSO) session or complete the
online Transfer Overview before registering for
their second semester courses.
If you have been admitted for fall 2010, you will be
able to sign up for a Summer 2010 Transfer Student
Orientation (TSO) session or log on to the Online
Transfer Overview beginning Monday,
April 5, 2010 at 12:00pm.
Please visit
www.fullerton.edu/orientation for more information and
to register for all of our orientation programs.
Again, orientation is a great opportunity for you to
meet fellow new students and make valuable
connections with current Cal State Fullerton
students, faculty and staff. New students who
make these connections and create these friendships
tend to be more successful in their transition to
college. In fact, students who attend
orientation are more likely to stay in college, be
satisfied with their college experience, achieve
better grades and graduate! |
